Heli Sled Tour & Group Cancellations:
Our reservation and cancellation policies are standard in the industry. Significant financial commitments are made in advance of tours and services and are reflected in these policies. When weather or other conditions prevent heli -copter related tours from taking place, every effort will be made to reschedule or transfer the tour or activity to a trail based snowmobile tour where applicable whereby the heli portion of the tour will be refunded.
Groups of 1 – 4:

All cancellations made within a 5 day period of scheduled tour times are subject to full cost of the tour and will be charged against the credit card on file. Cancellations made in advance of 5 days will be subject to a cancellation or rescheduling fee of 25% of the tour costs.


Groups of 5 or more:

Cancelling a tour within a 20 day period is subject to full cost of the tour and will be charged against the credit card on file. Cancellations made in advance of 20 days will be subject to a cancellation or rescheduling fee of 25% of the tour costs.


Custom Events:

Due to the nature of custom and private event coordination in remote mountain settings, all deposits and retainers are non refundable as a considerable percentage of funds are allocated to pre booked rentals, purchases of equipment, services or goods. Events are only cancelled in cases of extreme weather events or variables beyond our control. Head-Line upholds the highest standards of integrity in the industry and assures all clients and participants that every conceivable option will be explored prior to cancelling an event or activity. Unused portions of helicopter time are refunded and or, the actives rescheduled as appropriate.

Weather Cancellation Policy
Circumstances may arise where we cannot fulfill your heli or ground based adventure package and you will need to be reimbursed. The basis for cancelling an excursion could be: Inclement weather, mechanical helicopter or equipment reasons or avalanche and snowpack conditions:

– If Head-Line mountain Holidays decides to cancel the day before your trip, a 100% refund will be provided if the guest cannot be rebooked to another date during the season.

– If the decision is made to cancel by the time you arrive for check-in, a 100% refund will be provided if rebooking is not an option. You can enjoy the complimentary lunch.

– If the decision is made to cancel after the safety training, a $100 administration fee will be charged, with the remaining balance refunded. The administration fee can be applied as credit towards your next Head-Line Mountain Holiday reservation. The credit is non-transferable and is valid for two years. You can enjoy the complimentary lunch

– If we commence flying but any part of the tour cannot be reached or completed, Head-line Mountain Holidays will reimburse the unused portion of the helicopter flight time plus applicable taxes.

What To Bring

Outer Wear & Gear

All participants are expected to dress appropriately for any given outing or event.  All necessary technical gear and personal protection equipment is supplied for all activities. Head-line will provide advice on appropriate outerwear requirements prior to departing on any given adventure as required.

Personal Protection Gear

Head-line provides all relevant avalanche terrain and adventure sport related equipment including avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, avalanche airbag,  helmet, goggles, gloves and ice travel related equipment appropriate for each tour.

Backcountry Enclaves / Wilderness Retreats

While every conceivable effort is made to ensure that remote backcountry experiences and overnight stays are as comfortable as possible, it should be noted that these locations and facilities may not be equipped with running water, running hot water, shower or flush toilette facilities.  Clean, hygienic services appropriate to wilderness experience are provided and exceed remote wilderness experience  standards by a comfortable margin.

Advanced bookings are required, please contact us directly to organize your next Head-line Mountain Holiday adventure.


All pricing is quoted in Canadian Funds.  We accept most major credit cards, wire transfers, checks and money orders.  Non refundable deposits and retainers are required at time of booking a tour or coordination of service.  Deposit and retainer amounts vary with product and services being hired and will be quoted at time of engagement.

Third party rates

Modifications to pricing by third parties are beyond the control of Head-Line and any associated additional third party fees will be passed along.

Helicopter Rates

All Heli related products and service pricing is based on estimated fly times and estimated payloads and are subject to change without notice due to many elements beyond our control including, but not limited to, weather conditions, flight paths, charter rate fluctuations, fuel cost fluctuations; Helicopter type  and availability and pilot availability.

Mountain Egress

Please note that while every effort is made to ensure that access to and from any given remote facility, site, or enclave is possible, these activities and events take place in remote mountainous environments and may preclude access to these locations from time to time.  Helicopters do not have the ability to fly in the mountains at night and travel is therefore restricted to ground transportation at night.  Travel may also be restricted in adverse weather or avalanche conditions or through challenging terrain which may prevent egressing certain areas at certain times.

Daylight Flying

Head-line Mountain Holidays and, or it’s affiliates, partners or associated operators may choose to cancel or postpone flying if we deem that the weather or required visibility to fly is unsatisfactory or dangerous. Ground transportation alternatives may be made available at that time if appropriate.

Health Recommendations

Adventure sport activities are NOT recommended for persons who are pregnant, suffer from back or neck pain, heart or respiratory distress or other similar ailments.  If in doubt, consult your doctor prior to participating in any events or activities.


Participants suspected of intoxication or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to participate in any adventure activities under any circumstance.  Persons denied participation in activities based on these reasons will not receive a refund.


All products and services are subject to variables beyond our control including poor weather, poor visibility, availability of certain products or services,  environmental conditions, weather events, logistical limitations and as such, are not within the control of Head-line Mountain Holidays who are therefore, not liable or responsible for loss  of any kind in the event that an activity can not take place or completed under these circumstances.


Deposits and retainers of 80% are required at time of order with 20 % balance due at time of tour, payable by major credit card or wired to HMH bank account.  Prices are subject to confirmation, change, and are quoted in Canadian Dollars exclusive of applicable taxes, levies, fees, gratuities affiliates and partner price fluctuations and weather impacts to flight times and travel plans.
