Lift off from Whistler in an A-star helicopter to fly over Canada’s southernmost ice fields to explore an evolving landscape of ice and snow.  These fully guided Ice Cap interpretive tours will leave you wanting more. This experience may include multiple ice cave exploration by snowmobile, snowbike or snow buggy (pending rider ability and snow conditions). Head-Line Mountain Holidays proudly allocates 3% of all Heli Ice Cave Explore revenues to our “White is Green” Ice Cap Research Initiative in partnership with Simon Fraser University. This initiative facilitates research projects and student learning opportunities in a real world Ice Cap setting.

HELI SLED & ICE CAVE EXPLORE

Be transported on a journey through the ice ages as you explore the magic of the infamous Head-Line Mountain Holidays Ice Cap. Travel by snowmobile, snowbuggy or snowmachine to a complex of natural ice caves and experience a  world unlike any other. The vast terrain of the ice cap has to be seen to be appreciated with it’s ice flows, volcanic peaks, wildlife and more.

Your guide will lead you through a labyrinth of chambers of aqua blue magnificence where you will sit in awe while enjoying a mountain style artisan lunch. This experience is ideal for all ages and for any occasion from families, weddings, private groups or corporate events.

Enhance Your Ice Cap Experience with Head-Lines Private Executive Chef-De-Cuisine. Your experience begins with an extraordinary journey across an icy wonderland on snow machines*. Travel by snowmobile, snowbuggy or snowcoach to a labyrinth of age-old ice caves where your wilderness expert will lead you on an interpretive tour of the natural history. Explore an array of frozen features enroute to the “Blue Room”, the setting of your private luncheon served by Head-Lines Chef-de-Cuisine.

 

Nestled in the heart of the ice cap lies the secret ice cave setting for this unique, private dining experience. Sitting below the cathedral cave of blue, your executive chef will captivate guests with culinary craftsmanship.

 

Guests will be transported to the Head-Line Base at the Whistler Heliport by Mercedes limousine from the Four Seasons Resort and Residences. Board your private A-Star helicopter on an extraordinary flight to Head-Line’s Ice Cap Headquarters and experience Canada’s largest, southernmost ice cap from the air. Guests will take in the surrounding alpine region as they soar between ancient volcanic peaks and over towering old growth forests.

  • Grilled “Long Bone” 48 Oz Bone in Ribeye with roasted vegetables:
