Winter days tend to be cooler, shorter days with the majority of our big winter storms, bringing the majority of our snow fall to the region. We recommend dressing in layers and warm winter boots. Conditions for operating snowmachines can be trickier as well depending on skill, snow and ice pack conditions as well as group dynamics. Please call us to discuss the variables in advance of your experience and for an update on conditions.

The Ice Caves also go through various changes with more ice build up on the floors of some caves but for the most part, the Ice Caves themselves are in “hibernation mode” during the winter months. That said, conditions do change and depending on your group dynamics, this may change how the experience will be executed.

What constitutes a Private Trip?

A 4 person minimum rate is required to create a Private Experience.

How many participants fit in a single helicopter?

The aircrafts we charter for our experiences are primarily 5 passenger A-Star Helicopters which allows for 4 guests plus 1 guide.

What if our group is larger than 4 guests?

When groups are larger than 4, we either do multiple shuttles with a single aircraft or use multiple aircraft depending on the size of the group. Please note: The 3 person Minimum price applies to each aircraft.

What is the optimum group size?

Multiples of 4 guests with 1 guide is an optimum group size. Once groups reach 12 guests, we charter the helicopter for the full day (depending on time of year) to maximize efficiencies and flexibility with departure times and duration of experiences.
