Fly over, ride on, and explore the inner magic of Head-Line’s Ice Cap. After gearing up at our Whistler Heliport base, we’ll board the helicopter for a spectacular flight to our exclusive “Heli-Dome” located on the Ice Cap. Your professional mountain guide will lead you on state-of-the-art mountain snowmobiles on an expedition across 8,000 foot ice fields and over mountain tops to secret ice caves. Whenever possible, we’ll dine in the comfort of these breathtaking 15,000 year old ice caves. This experience has endless terrain options and will definitely leave you wishing for more. This adventure will be fully customized to your group’s skill level.
A Snowbike can be booked as part of this experience if you have the relevant experience. Snowbikes are the latest in technological advancements in the snowmobiling industry. Converted Motocross bikes include a track and ski are easy to operate, especially on our vast open ice fields. Nimble, fluid and fun are understatements for these marvels of exploration. Lightweight and powerful and in many cases, easier to operate than a snowmobile.

These guests will snowmobile or snowbike a minimum of 20 – 30 days a year. They can: side hill, carve, manage forested terrain in deep powder (boon-docking), and can self-extract their snowmobile. They understand and can assess terrain and avalanche hazard areas and are accustomed to traveling in the mountains in groups without compromising each other’s safety.SINGLE RIDERS ONLY.
- Black Diamond – SIGNIFICANT SNOWMOBILE EXPERTISE:
Individuals in this category have relatively all of the same experience as the Double Black Diamond skills, but could use some coaching in specific areas pertaining to avalanche, terrain assessment, route finding and more technical riding details such as button hooks on steep terrain features.SINGLE RIDERS ONLY
- Intermediate – COMPETENT SNOWMOBILER / MOTOCROSS RIDER WITH LIMITED TO NO MOUNTAIN RIDING EXPERIENCE:
Individuals in this category do not own a snowmobile or snowbike, but will have snowmobiled or snowbiked several times, typically in flatter terrain. They are accustomed to the handling characteristics such as throttle control, weight transfer techniques in various snow conditions and moderate terrain types.SINGLE RIDERS ONLY.
- Beginner: Individuals in this category will have no specific snowmobile experience, but have a great deal of relevant mechanized related experience that will assist with understanding the mechanics of rapid acceleration, deceleration and various handling characteristics. They have extensive jet skiing, dirt biking, ATV and / or UTV experience.SINGLE RIDERS ONLY.
- Never Ever – PERFECT FOR FAMILIES AND / OR PRIVATE ICE CAP EXPERIENCES WITH GUIDED SUPPORTED RIDING.

This expedition style tour will lead you through alpine terrain to the Ice Cap to explore big mountain terrain.
